On

Mabrade had his unifor pressed to regulations as he strode down the corridor in measured strides, the Marine Uniform was dashing to say the least compared to most. Only the Dress blues with white gloves topped the duty uniform Mabrade wore. He had heard there is a new woman on the ase he might need to see, she had rumors of a 'sensual nature' to her job. He had a bottle of well vintaged wine and two glasses of real crystal, the tone and feel of realglass is not to be taken for granted.

He had heard she is an attractive woman who 'cared' for her clients, that wass another factor in the decision Mabrade had in mind. He could have waited for his turn by her selection of time and place ut that is not his style. Women are to not be kept waiting and so he walked with the wine in one hand and the Glasses in the other behind his back almost looking like a parade rest.

"I am Major Mabrade, I believe I have an appointment?" He brought out the glasses and wine. "Shall we start the session Counselor?"

Zhara looked up from the front desk. She was temporarily working there while her receptionist ran an errand. "You must be Major Mabrade. I've been expecting you," she said, eying the wine and the glasses. "Is that real or replicated?" she asked.

"What kind of man would bring replicated wine to a sensual Counselor?" Mabrade said with a full smile. "Fine vintage and real crystal..." He bow slightly. "Reality is always better than ... replicated don't you think?" He moved forward to place the lasses down and ready the wine.

"Indeed, but I think this is better suited to my office. If you will follow me," she said, taking one of the glasses and heading for her office. "I wish to see how good your taste is."

"In what are you wishing to know my tastes?" Mabrade tokk the other glass and the wine after removing the cork, not a lot of time to allow it to breathe but then he also wondered how refined her tastes are and if such a vintage will get him the desired response.

"We shall start with the wine," Zhara announced, tapping a button on her computer. Soft straisn of Vivaldi began to play over the comm system. "And then move on to music."

Mabrade poured some of the wine into her glass before filling his own. "The vintage is good and I find the music ... moving." He almost chuckled. "I hope you enjoy it as we talk?"

She swirled the wine in her glass, sniffed, and then took a sip. "Very nice," she announced. "This will make our session quite pleasant." She took another sip and made herslef comfortable in one of the overstuffed chairs. "Now, tell me what you think of working on a starbase."

It is not unlike a citadel on my home world; it is a haven where people come together and those people need to be protected and given a sense of security. It is the duty of those elite enough to the task to defend that way of life." Mabrade took a sip of the wine. "It is My honor to be able to supply some of that security, my Aerowing and I are here to protect and help at the same time. Like my home we all work together for a common goal, the station is no different in concept it is only in another location." He chuckled. "You could say is a community that we all live in and take pride in being a part of."

"That's a good way of looking at life on a starbase," Zhara said, pleased at the analogy.

She took another sip of her wine and shook her head at the dog who wanted to try some, too. "Tipsy dogs make messes," she said firmly. Instead, she gave Sophia a doggy treat from a crystal bowl on the side table.

Turning back to the pilot she continued. "What else do you like, besides fine wine and flying ships?"

"The company of a lovely woman..." He raised a glass to the counselor. "I rebuild internal combustion engines and try to keep a balance between duty and a life."

Zhara raised her glass as well. "To...combustion."

Mabrade took a drink and look across to the Counselor. "So what else do you need to know Counselor?" He asked. "I am an open book you could say?"

Zhara considered her next question. "Why did you decide to become a pilot?"

"It was the closest thing I could find to a white charger that a knight could bring into combat." He answered with a chuckled. "They are like the soldiers that come flying in with the Calvary." He said with what is hard to tell if he is joking or not.

"Ah yes. But armor is heavy and unwieldy. Have you ever tried scaling a stone wall in full armor?" She shook her head. "I don't recommend it."

"Been there and done that. You are most correct." Mabrade said. "But if you know the trick it is possible." He said . "Scaling walls is easier than you think, Jousting, that is hard."

"You joust?" she asked, pulling up his personnel file. "Ah, yes. You do indeed. I must watch you some time." She looked up at him, one eyebrow raised. "Are you any good?"

"Where I come from..." He raised a glass. "A knight is a Knight because he is stronger." He took a drink. "I have been known to have a good joust or three." He did not hide the modesty. "I was the Princess' Champion, that is only won by combat and the Joust is a popular challenge." He looked at the Counselor. "Are you wanting to be championed Zhara?"

She laughed heartily at his comment. "I have never been in a position to need a champion," she admitted. "But if I am, I will definitely call on you. I would like to see the look on faces of the personnel on the starbase when you ride down the Promenade in full armor. That would be a sight to see."

When her laughter eased she finished her wine and set the empty glass on the table. "A fine wine and a fine conversation."

"I could leave the vintage to enjoy at a later date?" He said with a sly grin. "We should do this again in a more ... unofficial way Counselor?"

"Zhara, please," she said, chuckling. "Yes, we can continue the jousting and verbal sparring at a later date. Especially if you have more wine." Then her grin turned devilish. "But it won't keep you from getting your evaluation. It would come out better if you're sober."

"One glass doth not make the man drunk." He winked. "I am as level headed as you Zhara." He nod. "Just taking the edge off a little."

"Then shall we begin?" she asked, pulling ou a PADD.
