Location: Xavier's Quarters
Timeline: After Quagmire
Giellun had apologized to his boss several times and had finally been told to stop. He wasn't sure if Commander Windsong believed him but there was nothing more that he could do about it. There was something weird going on, Brian hadn't been very forthcoming about it except to say that it was very bizzare and horrific, but Giellun had picked up via the Star Base scuttlebut that it had something to do with experimenation akin to Hitler or Dr.Moreau and that Xavier had been the one to make the discovery, or at least he was one of the first on the scene.
He knew he had to make up to to the man he was falling in love with, that their relationship may have been severed because of one stupid mistake, but that thought was only in the very back of his mind. Right now his friend was hurting and in need.
He approached the cabin he knew almost as well as he knew his own and pressed the chime.
Xavier had finally been allowed to get some rest, not that he blamed Drake for his overly long shift. No station commander could have predicted the events that unfolded on the lower decks and there had to be an immediate reaction to the situation. Xavier had accepted responsibility of such circumstances when he accepted his promotion and it was all part of wearing the uniform he loved so much.
The problem was, whenever he tried closing his eyes he just saw the room again. It wasn't even the visual that was the main problem, and it was a problem, but all of his other senses seemed to trigger at the mere memory of the laboratory. Worse of all was his empathic sense. Whatever had happened down in that room, and there was a few working theories, had left a kind of psychic residue on Xavier, one that he couldn't shake no matter how hard he tried. This all led to hours of him lying on his bed in his dark room turning over and over the events of the last 24 hours.
Eventually Xavier had decided not to try and fight it anymore and had got up to do some more research into the history of the base. Maybe if he could figure this mystery out then he would rest better, he doubted it but at the moment that was all he had. When the door chimed, he felt a mix of annoyance and gratitude. In all honesty he wasn't quite sure how he felt or how he was supposed to converse with anyone. "Come in," he said right before a massive yawn escaped his mouth.
Giellun walked in but stayed close to the door as it slid shut behind him. "Look, I know I may be the last guy you want to see right now, after I behaved like a total asshole, but I know that you've been through a lot, Commander Windsong told me a little and I can't imagine how it might affect you. But I really do care about you. Alot.
I want you to know I'm here for you, talk, hug, whatever you need....even if you need me to leave."
Xavier had completely forgotten about his arguement with Giellun, in fact Giellun hadn't entered his head at all in the last 24 hours. Maybe that was a sign, maybe with all that had happened that was the true bit that mattered? Xavier rose from his chair and walked over to the Romulan who was standing so far away. Xavier wasn't sure what would happen when he reached the man who hadn't trusted him but also declared his love. The whole thing had been so confusing, in fact their entire relationship had been confusing and hard work. Maybe this wasn't what Xavier needed right now, maybe they only worked as friends and nothing more?
Xavier stood in front of the violet eyed man and took a second to gather his thoughts. "I need you to leave," was what he wanted to say but what actually came out was, "I need you to not mention yesterday." And before the Romulan could answer, Xavier placed his fist in the middle of Giellun's chest, hard. He pushed Giellun against the bulkhead, pinning him to the wall. And then he kissed him, with more passion than Xavier had ever expressed before.
Giellun had been expecting to see the angry, firey side of Xavier, maybe the vulnerable side after what he had heard had happened, he had even been half expecting to be kicked out of the cabin. So when Xavier punched him in the chest it was no surprise. What was a surprise, was THE kiss.
Giellun had been trying to figure out why his mind had been telling him there was no reason not to trust Xavier while something else was throwing up doubts. He'd talked to Paul about that asked him how to fix it and now, it didn't need fixing. There was no longer any doubt in any part of his being. No doubt about their friendship, no doubt about Xavier's loyalty, no no doubt about his love.
Then all, or at least most rational thought left him altogether as he returned the kiss with equal passion. He wrapped his hands around the small of Xavier's back pulling him into a tight embrace even as his tongue became delicously entangled with the Betazoid's.
Xavier wanted to make it clear, this wasn't about love or passion, in fact he wasn't even sure this was about them at all. This was about longing and need. There will be no declarations of love today, no grand gestures or romantic moments; just instinctive, animal, sex. Xavier knew he was being selfish, he was making this about him and his needs as opposed to the pair of them and what was best for their relationship. But he didn't care, maybe a bit of selfishness would do them good, raise the bar in their strange coupling. Maybe the biggest problem was that no one wanted to take charge, they were both way too nice to each other, it drove Xavier insane. Niceness was...nice, but their relationship had been missing this; dominance and control.
Xavier pressed himself harder against Giellun, almost certain that the Romulan could easier take his weight. He moved his hands from Gil's chest to the opening of his uniform and with a strong tug, pulled the fabric of Giellun's jacket and undershirt apart. Xavier's intentions were now clear and there was no stopping him.
Giellun couldn't read minds like Xavier could but there really wasn't a need that at this point. He knew, or at least thought he knew that Xavier had been hinting at for some time, that he had wanted Giellun to take the lead.
Well that time had passed, at least for now, so Giellun just responded. As what was left of his uniform shirt fell to the floor at his feet, he kicked it away. Then his hands moved from the small of Xavier's back to the front of his pants. While maintaing their deep kiss and with the tips of his ears turning green with desire and passion, his hands found the buttons and it was his turn to do some ripping. Once the pants were torn, he pulled them down further, broke the kiss and slowly went to his knees.
**Sometime Later**
They hadn't quite made the bed and the living space of Xavier's quarters was in shambles, but it had been worth it. They were both lying on the floor among torn clothes and broken nick-knacks. Xavier hadn't felt the need to talk for some time and was quite surprised that Giellun hadn't either; he was very much a talker. The sex had been great and very much worth the wait, in fact it had been better than he ever imagined it being. When Giellun had first walked into his quarters Xavier wanted to be close to someone, anyone. The horrors of the previous day were still fresh and Xavier wanted so badly to taste life and then Giellun was there. Now that the deed was done, Xavier was expecting to feel hollow again, a little ashamed maybe, but this wasn't the case. In fact he was content and almost happy (despite the horrors of the previous day). Giellun had filled a gap in Xavier's heart that the Betazoid hadn't even realised was there and the reason for his silence was because he wanted this moment to last as long as possible; because sooner or later Giellun would speak and the Romulan, though heart was always in the right place, had a habit of ruining these moments.
Giellun looked over at the Betazoid laying beside him and for once didn't say anything. Instead, his left hand found his partner's and he entwined his fingers with Xavier's He still found himself breathing heavily, but it was much closer to normal than it had been only a few short minutes ago.
The persperation that had dotted his skin was begining to cool and there were little goosebumps that were starting to form there. He was able to hook a blanket that had fallen off of the bed, with his foot and bring it over to them. He covered the two of them with it and snuggled closer.
"Modesty, now?" Xavier asked, curiosity getting the better of him
'No, just cold. You know we are going to have to clean up in a few hours, of course if we are going to clean up, we could always make a little more of a mess..."
"Tempting," was Xavier's only reply. He would love to stay with Gil like this but duty called and with the way things were he really couldn't ignore his responsibilities.
"I think its around 0430 if you just want to sleep I can live with that, but..." his voice trailed off as he leaned forward and pressed his lips on Xavier's. The kiss could have been simply a good night kiss or it could have been the spark to reignite the fire that had taken them earlier. Now it was Giellun's turn to take the initiative and see how Xavier would respond.
Xavier kissed Giellun back with a lot more passion than his earlier act of agression. Duty could wait and so could sleep, he needed this right now, he needed his boyfriend and their newfound connection.
Giellun could tell the difference between the two kisses almost instantly, but it took him a few seconds to decide which he liked better, the raw animal desire, or the one born out of love, or at least something like. Both had their places, both were needed, but being a romantic sort at heart and desiring a connection that was more than physical he decided the latter was superior to the former, but just barely.
He deepened the kiss still further and began a much slower, gentler, and thorough exploration of Xavier's body.
Xavier allowed Giellun's hands to wander his body, as his own fingers followed the contours of the Romulan's head and weaved into his blond hair. Now that Xavier wasn't acting on pure instinct and desire, he could take the time to enjoy himself and notice the things he should have taken note to the first time around. Like the gentle but manly touch of Giellun's hand and his odor. Xavier couldn't quite place it, it was musky and almost smelt of the soil on Betazed. It wasn't sweet but it definitely wasn't unpleasant, in fact Xavier loved it more and more as it lingered around the pair of them. The Betazoid nestled himself closer to his boyfriend and really took the time to enjoy all the love the Romulan had to offer.
As his hands continued their ministrations, he broke the kiss long enough to whisper, "I trust you Xavier. I trust you and I love you."
Xavier looked into Giellun's violet eyes not really knowing how to respond. How the hell did this Romulan keep surprising him? Xavier was a freaking telepath for crying out loud, it should be the other way round, shouldn't it? Instead of getting into another argument or possibly hurting Giellun's feelings, he grabbed the man's head and mashed their lips together, making talking impossible.
Giellun didn't protest the move, in fact he became a willing particpant. His hands even stopped their exploring, if only for the moment, so he could just focus on the kiss. The salty taste of Xavier's lips and and the remnants of Giellun's own secretions on his tongue.
**Some More Time Later**
Xavier threw himself off Giellun panting. He rolled onto his back and tried his best to stop his heart physically breaking out of his chest. It took him a while to get his breath back and slow his breathing down enough to hear what else was happening in the room. Of course nothing was, the only sound came from Giellun's slightly faster, but steady pant. If Xavier had thought their first time had been great, then there were no words to describe their second encounter. Animal sex was one thing but passion was an entirely different beast. Xavier had forgotten this, he hadn't let anyone get close to his heart since his first love. Giellun was opening plenty cans of worms and the truth was, Xavier was loving it.
Giellun lay sprawled spread eagled on his back looking up at the celling. He was exhausted. Totally satisfied but exhausted. He had to force himself to stay awake. "you know next time, we might want to actually make it to the bed," he quipped, "Man I can't stay awake much longer, but I Beta shift so I can stay and clean up, can you sleep now?"
Giellun was answered by a soft, low snore, The time for talk and sex was over, Xavier was exhausted and after his workout, could no longer stay in the world of the living.
Giellun looked over at his boyfriend, boyfriend just the thought that is what they really were, made him happy, smiled and in short order joined him in dreamland.
