Mission: Oblivion

What are the benefits of owning a Spa? That was one of the many questions have been asked, when he left the conservatory on Callisto station in order to take up a partial ownership of the spa with Alexia here on the star base. To tell the truth the great mass of Jupiter Rising behind Callisto station each day had been so very disconcerting for him. Making him feel a little short of breath and like he was falling even in wide-open spaces, when the planet was up. Ramatis had nothing like that, but it did have three moons that would cause various weather phenomina.

The primary benefit that came to his mind was the fact that he could test the equipment out at any point in time and call it quality control. Sweet, sweet quality control.

Jaryl was young, attractive and unattached, not that he was uninterested mind...Just not overly fond of the idea of having an intoxicated male or female draped upon him. Sex was pleasant enough but It was almost as if the universe didn't feel it necessary to Grant him a match. Perhaps he was lonely, perhaps he should try harder. His parents triad was very happy, and he and his siblings had lacked for nothing growing up. But for some reason he out of his siblings had not been able to find a match in his youth. Hed been granted permission to leave Ramatis because he hadnt found a means to bring him joy, and could thus freely make his way in the universe.

He didnt have a triad, or even a partner. What he did have was a delicious pool of hot water and a cool glass of champagne left from the opening party. Sipping on the faintly honey and berry flavored drink, he wrinkled his nose as the pop of the bubbles tickled the end of it and smiled. Alexia would have kittens if she knew that he was in the soaking pools with an alcoholic beverage. It was one of her rules that he never followed.

Here at least among the paradise he had created, there was joy.
