Mission: Oblivion
Timeline: MD 15

Jasmine watched out the portside window as the small ship docked at the station. She gave a sigh and smiled as she shifted her daughter in her arms. It was definitely time to get back home and back to work but she had to admit that it was nice to be away. She watched the station come closer and could see evidence of the crew's work to prepare for the Dante's arrival. She could even feel her heart beating faster. She'd been with her husband and daughter on a vacation to Betazed where she visited with both her family and Adam's yet she was homesick for the home she and Adam had built on Starbase 109. Their daughter had been spoiled and doted upon by loving grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

It had been sixteen weeks since the birth of Leilani, twelve weeks since Jasmine tried to return to work and suffered a physical break down from exhaustion that had her bedridden for another two weeks. After being berated by both her husband and her doctor, Jasmine agreed to take an extended maternity leave and Adam took her away from the station to be sure she complied.

"Almost home," Adam whispered as he stepped up to his wife and daughter hugging them gently in his arms. "Just a few more minutes until the ship is tethered."

Jasmine nodded toward the window. "We've been watching." She smiled. "This little one here seems to like the stars. She hasn't let me turn away from the window yet." The four-month-old giggled at her parents as she wiggled from her mother's arms into her father's. It was almost like she knew they were talking about her.

"You ready to go home little one?" Adam bounced his daughter playfully. "Yeah?"

[Wthin the hour, the family was aboard the starbase 109]

"Let's get settled in and put this little angel down for her nap." Jasmine smiled as she leaned into her husband and touched her daughter's hand. "I could probably use a little sleep too."

"Okay, but one quick surprise...call it a homecoming surprise." Adam smiled. "I planned it out before we left and I want you to see it."

Jasmine nodded and followed her husband to the nearby turbolift. "Deck 1554."

After a few minutes, the doors opened and Jasmine was overlooking the beautiful river walk of the Tivoli Guardens. An ancient carriage pulled by two large horses was waiting. Adam refused to tell his wife anything as he handed her their baby and then lifted her into the carriage before climbing in after her. A nod to the driver and the carriage was off.

They followed the river walk for a few moments before veering off onto the wooded path that led up the hill toward several small villas. The carriage came to rest in front of one of the newer villas. It was smaller in size than most but it had all the amenities a family would need. Surrounded by a white picket fence, the front yard was a beautiful compilation of flowers and trees and perfectly manicured grass. An archway of climbing wisteria opened the way to a brick path leading to a large covered front porch.

"It's ours." Adam whispered as he stepped out of the carriage and put his hands up to reach for his wife and daughter. "I used the picture you liked so much and developed a floor plan. There are three bedrooms plus a master suite, a large kitchen and dining room, and a den slash office for us to share." He smiled.

Jasmine was speechless but the look in her eyes told Adam that she loved what she was seeing.

"The backyard is huge. There's a play area for Lani, a deck for entertaining and a gazebo. There's even room for a small garden and a swimming pool." He waited for Jasmine to say something as he hoped he'd made the correct decision.

"Adam, this is...this is...Amazing." She hugged her husband. "How? When? How did you do all this?"

"I arranged it while we were away and finalized the details with my father when we were on Betazed." He opened the door. Inside was even more beautiful than out. Honey colored wood trimmed everything, pastel walls with coordinating furniture met every detail Adam had given. Large windows afforded beautiful views of the property all the way around and upstairs in the master bedroom, the small sitting area looked over the small rippling stream that crept its way down the hill to the main river.

"It's perfect." Jasmine nearly gasped as she went from room to room looking at their new home. The nursery was already set and Leilani was already in her crib asleep as the newlyweds explored their home ending in the master bedroom.

The large master suite set above the cottage in a tall spire. The room was large and airy with the natural light shining through the windows, The round king size bed had been commissioned to be unique yet comfortable. It sat high off the floor with plump coverings and several pillows.

"Welcome home sweetheart." Adam leaned in and kissed his wife as he slipped her dress over her shoulders letting it drop to the floor.
