Location: Harvey's
Timeline: Current
Giellun had heard sucttle but about Harvey's a nice little hole in the wall grill/bar on the second level of the Promenade and decided to check it out. He could use some garlic cheese fries and a cold beer and Harveys was famous for both.
He walked in and was hit by a blast of cool air He began looking around and saw a familiar face. Clark Patterson, his first love, Hunter's first boyfriend. He wasn't sure whether Clark would recognize him, or what his reaction would be if he did what his reaction would be since in effect he had stolen Hunter away from him.
He was about to turn around and walk back out. After all it was a big stattion maybe they wouldn't see each other, but then that wasn't the kind of man Giellun was, he wasn't a coward, so he walked up to Clark and cleared his throat.
Clark wasn't sure if the other cleared throat was a gesture aimed at him or someone else. He put his padd down on the counter and turned his head. With a quick glimpse he caught sight of Giellun. "Oh, no." He said to himself with a grin. He turned in his stool and looked at him . "Don't tell me your under my department too?"
"Which department is that?" Giellun asked keeping his voice neutral.
"Intelligence. And before you pull out a smart ass comment about a Intelligence person not knowing something, the data streams from Star fleet are very slow." Clark said with smile.
"No, I'm not in your deaprtment," Giellun replied. I'm in startegic ops. Some overlap perhaps but not in Intel. Sorry about that."
"That's too bad. What brings you out here on this sad little place?"
"Just thought I'd grab a beer and something to eat. Besides I wouldn't think you'd want me serving under you, after what happened at the Academy. The thing between me and Hunter just kind of happened. Neither of us intended on your getting hurt."
"We'll the least you two could have done was tell me, instead of me finding out by catching you two hot and heavy on my bed..."
"I know that was mistake, but it was all so new to me back then. I was just caught up in the moment, caught up in the lust. You should have never found out that way."
"Hmm..." Clark said. Hunter, was his first love at the academy, he was someone that he thought he would end up spending the rest of his life with. And one day after finishing a engineering project early he returned to his dorm, he found his boyfriend of thirteen months, riding someone else on his bed.
OOC ROFL at least you made him a top
IC:"Hmm, doesn't sound good,"Tell me about it."
"Whats's to tell, I've been over it for over four years now." Clark said.
Giellun sat without asking, "Look it was a stupid thing to do. I mean maybe the first time we were both drunk. I don't know who seduced who, or who kissed who, but after that, it became planned, I'm sorry you got caught in the middle."
"That's not the way I would put it, but I guess you could say that."
"Then how would you put it?"
"I'm not sure, all i really remember is putting in a request for a new room, from there packing my few belonging and never seeing either of you two again."
Giellun started to reach out his hand to try to bring some form of comfort to Clark, but it just sounded so trite and cliche to do so. Instead he said, "So how do I make it up to you?"
"To start you can buy me a beer,"
"I think I can do that," Giellun replied. He walked up to the bar and within a few minutes was back by Clark's table with two cold bottles of beer. It looked like the real thing, not synethol. He handed Clark one of the amber colored bottles.
"Thanks," Clark said taking the beer and turning off his padd.
Giellun tipped his bottle towards Clark so the clinked together, "So do you have a boyfriend?" he asked.
"I don't know anymore." Clark put simply taking a large drink from his beer.
"Sounds like we better talk about it then. What do you mean you don't know?"
"Well I was seeing someone. I wanted to stay in the service, and he didn't want me to. We were able to sit and talked about it but in the end we both didn't want the same thing. He left with out saying goodbye."
"Well I hate to break it to you, but if he left without saying good-bye, you're only deluding yourself if you think he's coming back. Believe me. Been there, done that and got the tee-shirt
Clark could help but laugh, "I guess your right, who broke your heart?"
"Me? I thought you were crying on my shoulder, not the other way around. I don't know. I guess Hunter did. We tried the long distant thing and it just didn't work."
"That asshole was always stubborn. And I don't cry." Clark said finishing his beer.
Giellun rolled his eyes, "I was being figuartive," he quipped, "I know you don't cry."
"Either way, in the end he screwed us both." Clark said with a small grin. "How about another beer?"
Giellun gave him a smirk, "You're right about him screwing us. Literally and figurativly, though I always preferred to be on top."
"Hmm. You always seemed like a catcher to me."
"Not usually. I can be versatile with the right guy, but generally my ass has an exit only tag on it."
"You smart ass." Clark said.
"Better than being a dumb ass,"Giellun returned.
Clark remained quite for a while while sat across Giellun. He took in the moment of the quite conversation that where going on around him. Thoughts from day ago started to comeback to him, about his father refusing to retire the captains chair, what would he think if he quite so young? What he had stayed with James and retired early from the federation, where would they live? in one of the many architectural planets, he couldn't picture himself being a farmer working season after season on the crops. He also thought about there upcoming mission and how little information they had on the soon to be new members of the federation if all went well. He took in a deep breath before remembering where he was. "Sorry what were we talking about?"
"What two gay guys usually wind up talking about. Sex, but you look lost."
"I was thinking about the past, something I do often. And now that where on the subject you got a boyfriend?"
"Techncially no, but I ran into Xavier Lee, he was in the Academy with us, I don't know if you remember him or not. Anyway, back at the Academy we were just friends, but I think we're going to start dating, but nothing is offical. Besides he threw up on me."
"We had a few classes together, I never really got to know him. Why did he throw up you?
"He was drunk. I stopped by Orchids and Jazz and he was three sheets to the wind. I helped him back to his quarters and just as I was about to leave, the threw up everything he'd been drinking."
"Sounds like a good time to me."
"Oh yeah, a really good time. Ranks right up there with getting a tooth pulled and listening to opera."
"I'm sure it does."
Geillun turned to Clark turning his head slightly. "Are you trying to seduce me?" he asked.
"I don't think so, I don't play games."
Giellun smiled in return. "Glad because I don't either. I am seeing, or will be seein Xavier and I'm not the kind of guy that cheats on his boyfriend, even if he's not technically my boyfriend yet."
"No, but you do have sex with someone else's boyfriend." Clark shot back.
Giellun looked at him his brow becoming more prominent displaying his Romulan features, "I did and have regretted it ever since. But I'm not the same Giellun Hitchins. I don't cheat and I don't have sex with other people's boyfriends. What about you Clark, have you always done the right thing?
"With my personal life? Yes. With intelligence? Not always."
Giellun gave him an incredulous look, "Well then you are a better man that I am.I've made my fair share personally and with Tactical. Anyway I have already apolgized to you for what I did. What more do you want?"
"Nothing more. I'll believe you changed your ways when I see it."
Giellun smirked. "I suppose that is fair enough. Just watch what happens between men and Xavier
"As long as its not on my bed." Clark teased. "I have to meet with my department in a few minutes." he said standing from the table. "I'll see you around."
"I'm sure you will Clark. and trust me whatever Xavier and I do, and whenever we do it. It won't be on your bed."
