Mission: http://sb109.sim-station.net/index.php/sim/missions/id/3
Location: Holodeck
Timeline: Late

Samantha had been having nightmares about Kale for days... well nights. Every time it ended the same way, with her being transported to safety. Samantha didn't like that ending, time and time again he'd gotten her with her back to the wall and she couldn't escape. Just like the first time. So she'd done the only thing she could think to do, recreated the situation and face it head on.

The first two times Kale had gotten the better of her in the holodeck, the safeties were set low enough that she had a gash on her arm and a cut on her cheek. Both of which Nyx was going to bitch about... so what. Samantha was sweating now even as she hide in one of the many corridors of the underbelly of the station. Well the programmed verison in the holodeck. The tunnels were dark and she could hear nothing but the sounds of the station and her own breath.

"I can hear you bleeding, Samantha." Kale's voice echoed in the labyrinth of grey starfleet issue metal.

"Bite me," Samantha heard herself murmur as her head touched the back of the corridor wall. She was tired, sore and felt like she wasn't getting anywhere with this form of exercise. Still Samantha also felt like she wasn't very good at sword play and Kale had proven that to her in some small way. How could she expect to be taken seriously if Kale could beat her.

She was getting ready to move when Kale's sword came around the corner, Samantha ducked within a millisecond of seeing him. "With pleasure!" He growled as she staggered away from the wall her arms swinging to gain stability.

Footing, get your damned footing, she heard the voice in her head. Samantha's boots planted firmly she turned as Kale pulled his weapon from the bulkhead. She found herself solid in her core, her whole body felt it, She wrapped both hands around the hilt of her sword, it was not a katana but more like a 16th century french fencing foil known as an epee. She took a deep breath, and released one hand as the other one swung. Her step was graceful, poetic as she lunged for Kale's chest.

It never made it, Kale's thick muscular arm deflected the thin sword tip and took the brunt of the pain as her epee pierced his flesh. He let out a roar of anger, Samantha thought for the moment he was half Klingon by the sound of it. He jerked backwards ripping his own weapon from the wall and pulling Samantha off balance as her weapon went where his arm went.

The Intelligence officer jerked backwards freeing her sword tip... only to deflect an on coming strike from Kales thicker broad sword. The two weapons where no match for each other historically speaking. But in this time the materials were nearly identical in strength. She kept her back foot planned as she let Kale advance in anger, he would mess up sooner or later and she knew that.

Kale's anger fueled his swordsmanship as he swung wildly and with strength. Kale was taller than most Adakian and stronger, more muscular. He was aggressive, he was a mercenary, he had a reputation to uphold and money to make. He was not about to let some little human girl stand in his way. He lifted his sword to swing wide and heavy and hit the lighting overhead, sending sparks raining down on both of them, the corridor went dark.

Samantha took the distraction as a great chance to run again. Mice run... true.. but mice that run life and get to play tricks on cats. Ok so it was Tom and Jerry thinking, hell Kale was a big freakin' cat... Samantha thought cat and mouse was very appropriate thinking. She hadn't been happy with the outcome of her venture with Brian and felt she needed the practice.

"Come out, come out where else you are." She heard Kale's brawny voice. She snicked a bit as she leaned against another bulkhead. "Computer," She whispered. "Enable EMH" SHe bolted down the corridor as the doctor came to life requesting she state the nature of her medical emergency.

Kale heard the voice, he snickered at her failure as he came running down the corridor in the darkness and turned swinging his sword, He'd have decapitated the hologram hadn't the doctor been a hologram. "I'm a hologram you, idiot." The doctor retorted. "You can't kill me with that." It pointed to the sword now embedded in the wall.

Kale growled. "Where is she?" Just as the hologram pointed down the corridor. There was an agonizing burning sensation in Kale's back as Samantha drove her sword deep into his back. She had lept to get high enough on him, driving it downward through his lung and heart so he was not able to make a sound.

"Right behind you." She retorted as he fell to the floor. The program ended and her sword clattered to the floor of the now empty holodeck.
