Mission: A Diplomatic Affair
Location: The Addams Home, Tivoli Gardens
Timeline: MD 1, 16:30

Chlamydia Addams lowered the bow from her viola as her child entered the room. "Experiment Number Six Addams, I believe I specifically asked you not to wear the gray sweater to visit Mrs. Suzuki today. It is raveling, and what that woman will think...."

Six looked down at herself. "This isn't gray," she protested.

"Then what is it?" Chlamydia demanded, eyebrows raised.

"Pastel black!" The little girl picked up the case in which her bass resided when it wasn't being played.

A smile pulled at the corners of Chlamydia's mouth. "Well, whatever it is, kindly go and change into a sweater that doesn't make you look like a tatterdemalion ragamuffin."

Six blinked a couple of times. "What about a tatterdemalion hoyden?"

"No tatterdemalion anything, please, young lady! This family has a reputation to uphold!"

"So... blood spatters are okay?"

"Much better," Chlamydia said, approvingly. "You look so darling in that pinafore with the gore."

Six sighed, set her case down again, and trudged toward the door as if her shoes weighed more than the rest of her body. "Alriiiiiiiiight," she drawled, in the manner of a child greatly put upon by adult sensibilities.

"Thank you, dear," Chlamydia said, raising her bow again and taking the Zelenka requiem from the top.

Love it! So funny to see some regular child attributes mixed in with the high intelligence and the Addams characteristics. =)

I was particularly proud of "pastel black!" You can tell she's been paying attention to her Aunt Purulence! 8)

"Wait a minute," says Carlo, "That little kid can carry a bass violin? I could maybe see a cello, but a bass?"
