Updating Biographies

Hello, Everyone!

Some of us have been on SB109 for several years. Our characters are aging! Please check to be sure your bio is keeping up with new ages, new skills, new jobs, and anything else that's changed since you posted your original biography. We also learn more about our characters as we write them, so think about things you can add to their background in the bio, and a picture, if there isn't one.

Additionally, we like every NPC to have a complete biography. We love our NPCs! We want to know who they are. The base has 73 of them, and they are necessary to the operation of all our departments, and our civilian population. I expect the number to grow as we continue the Besm story arc, and work on fleshing out the Brown Sector. See the LCARS Database for more information on both.

I'm going through the files now and checking to see which characters do not have a complete bio. I know some of them are new characters, and you are still working on their biographies. I have listed them from the top down in the Personnel List.

If one of these characters is yours, and I didn't check to see who writes them, please finish the biography by August 10, two weeks from today. If you need a little more time, because maybe this is the week you are working 70 hours, please contact me in a PM. Thanks!

Also, if your PNPCs are not linked to you, let me know, and I will link them. One advantage to being linked is that you can write as that character. That can be important, since we don't list the characters at the bottom of a post. We depend on knowing who they are from the post heading.

Thanks for always being so enthusiastic as writers. I know I read all the biographies, and refresh my memory when writing with a character I haven't in a while, even my own. It makes it easier to stay in character for me, and to interact with other characters in a realistic way.

Thanks for the majority of our characters having biographies that are complete! I know you put a lot of time and effort into who your character is and aren't writing just who YOU are, because some of you have multiple characters and they are different on the sim.

I was talking about all of you today with someone who belongs to a writing group, and explaining how well we work together, and how long most of us have been doing that. The new people are fitting in nicely, and adding new dimensions to our starbase. Thanks to all of you!
