July Awards!

The July Theta Fleet Awards are out!
July was a relatively sparse month for us. Maybe it was the heat, or the doldrums of summer, but it was a (relatively) slow posting month for us. As such, we only pulled a silver Unit of Merit for the month, and tied with USS Hera for it. We did receive our TGCO's Award of Merit.
No other fleet level awards, but I did promise I would share my nominations, so here they are:
Writer of the Month Nomination and reason: Allison / LCOL Wellington, for the high quality of the posts in which she's been coming to grips with the results of her duel, and the way in which she's reevaluating her life.
Player of the Month Nomination and reason: For a second month in a row, James / Eddie Hunt for his enthusiasm, activity, and willingness to jump in and help out. He's the one who carried out the signage change on the website, and he continues to drive posts and plotlines.
Post of the Month Nomination (and URL): "When the story is not over" (http://sb109.thetafleet.net/index.php/sim/viewpost/962 ). Chantal does a lovely job of handling emotions and regrets.
Although the fleet did not see fit to accept my nominations, each of those folk gets our local equivalent award.
Thanks to everyone who participates and makes Starbase 109 such a wonderful place to dream, to imagine, and to write. You are why we do this.

Oh, yay! I'll get the awards up as soon as Kathryn gets the links to me. Congratulations to everyone who worked through the month - I know there were 75+, which in a normal world would put us way out in front. LOL USS Hera closed this month (and Solaria is closing at the end of the week - but two new sims are opening), so that was a nice way for her players to go out.
Congratulations to all our players who won SB109 awards. It's a difficult decision each month, because this is an amazing group of writers and simmers. For August, we are not halfway through the month and already have 40 as a post count. Thanks for playing along with us!
