Mission: Unity Week
Location: Shuttle

Gunnar was sitting in the copilot seat of the shuttle, as he looked back and made sure his gear was still there, he quietly looked back towards the consoles and looked over to his pilot.

"How long you been a taxi driver, Ensign?" Gunnar asked politely.

"I been a pilot for about 10 yrs. Served on the USS Ganger, then the USS Sovereign. Vanguard is my first Starbase posting. I doubt their will be much use for me there but it has to be way better than a starship." The ensign replied calmly, as he grew accustomed to Gunnars size almost filling up the already cramped space.

"Well, that is good, I never grew accustomed to flying, I was more of a crashing sort of pilot. Need a good crash done, im your cat. But flying anything with special maneuvers nope cant do it. Want a shuttle turned into a flying bomb, I could do that but thats the extent of my abilities regarding flying anyways." Gunnar replied.

"Well you marines are all the same, love your guns, your toys, and your explosives." The ensign said calmly.

"Hmmmm, that is true, but for me, it was starfleet who rescued me from cryosleep and it was a marine detachment that gave me purpose, so it seemed right to join the marines if you think about it. I been doing this for longer than you been alive, but im more stealth orientated and less explosions. I like to keep structures intact unless I am to blow them up." Gunnar said with a smirk.

"I see, Hold sir." the ensign replied as they neared the rather impressive looking Stardock space station. "Nearly 1300 decks, and heavily fortified, not bad of a station for a resupply facility. They just cleared us to land." The ensign replied.

"Yeah well, lets hope if this station is overwhelmed she can withstand a full scale attack, after all, I doubt once her protection ships are gone, she will last long against a bigger fleet than she can handle." Gunnar replied.

"Yes sir, but I Guess youll make taking over the station impossible." The ensign said as the shuttle touched down. "Operations is on deck 13. I have to report in else where but pleasure meeting you sir." Gunnar said saluting the marine captain.

"Grabbing his gear up, he was still growing accustomed to this era, where people carried things around in bags rather than just carrying it on their person. He headed up to Operations to meet the stations Commanding Officers.
