End of an Era

I suspect no one in Theta Fleet remembers a time when Elizabeth II was not the Queen of England. Hearing Prince Charles called Charles III still hits me as a bit of a shock, even though we all expected the Queen's death was not a long way off.

Though 109's command team are Americans, we have several British members among our crew. On behalf of the command team, I'd like to extend our condolences to those among us who have lost a leader who was the bedrock of their country and a constant in their lives. Elizabeth II was a great lady much respected in the UK and here in the US. We will miss her wisdom, grace, and good sense. I would like to think that she left her country a better place than she found it. Whether she did, only history will tell.

May she rest in peace.
