It is with great pleasure that I make the following announcements!
For June 2022 activity, Starbase 109 was awarded the Bronze Unit of Distinction award, tied with more other sims than I can remember the names of, and won the Task Group Commanding Officer's Award of Merit for Task Group 51-B.
For the quarterly awards, Susan Nixon won Writer of the Quarter! Here's why.
Susan is one of the three ladies who run SB109. She had to take a leave of absence to go through radiation treatment. That is when we realized how much she does for the sim. The other two ladies do well, but Susan was greatly missed. Her return has brought a renewed spark to the sim and its posts.
Truer words were never spoken! Congratulations, Susan! This award was very, very well deserved. You contribute the lion's share of what keeps the heart and soul of this wonderful group, SB-109, alive.

Wow, I just saw this. Thank you so much! It is such an honor to work with the fine group of writers gathered here on SB109. We have such variety and inventiveness going on.
