Dear Cast and Crew of SB109,
Once again, it's time to look at the awards from Theta Fleet. Amazingly, with the slow September we had, we still held on to our Silver Unit of Distinction for Area 51! Yay, us!
The Theta Fleet Player of the Month for Area 51 is also one of our own, Iain, who keeps us on track many times, asking questions which are pointed and require the team to think about possibilities. His NPCs are always helpful and step up to round out the stories and make us more complete. Congratulations, Iain!
The TGCO Award of Merit for Area 51B also comes to SB109 for September.
Because September finishes the third quarter of the year, there are Third Quarter awards, as well. For Area 51, our terrific executive officer wins XO of the Quarter: The three COs of the sim have been awarded in the past, but the XO of Starbase 109 is also worthy of kudos. Locke is a great character and works well with the three women who run the sim. Every sim needs a good second, and Locke does a great job.
More congratulations to Iain! I'm so happy he's getting so much recognition this month.
Theta Fleet Player of the Month for Area 51 was a tie this quarter, one from SB109 and one from Hera. Congratulations to two deserving players!
As with TF23, sometimes the best players go unnoticed because of their involvement with the sims themselves. Susan is one of the three women who run SB109. She works hard to coordinate posts, to keep the site running, to PM players, and to create a number of locations on the station where characters can dine and relax. She helps give the sim its flair and we appreciate her.
Hera: Azmaria not only facilitates the activity on the Hera, but she runs the Split-World Alliance and helps the fleet with technical questions. She manages all this while dealing with some pretty nasty real life issues. She is truly amazing. We can’t imagine the fleet without her.
I will have the awards on the Main Page and on your personal pages as soon as they are sent to me.
Congratulations to all the players who work so hard to earn the sim rewards. There's a reason SB109 is one of the top sims month after month, and I give the credit for that to your great writing and enthusiasm, as well as to our captain's leadership and always keeping us within Star Trek canon. SB109 wouldn't be the high quality it is without both, so congratulations on being part of the success of the sim.
Susan,
On Behalf of the Leadership Team
