SB109 Awards for July
Posted on Fri 16th Aug, 2019 @ 6:07pm by
As you know, we try at least every quarter to give awards on the starbase, not just fleet awards. This month, there are a whole slew of them. You know that's a lot, right? I will be busy for quite a while getting all these ribbons on your pages! If there's anyone who doesn't know how to access your awards page, let me know in a PM, and I'll tell you.
In no specific order, here are the ribbons awarded, and the reasons for them. Please, if we left anyone out who is involved with either the Zelda Alegari mystery or solving the mystery of Lt. Briggs' attack, let me know!
Lieutenant Commander Alora Baro
Award: Montgomery Scott Engineering Award
For her excellent leadership skills, and not biting off the heads of crew who annoy her.
Khellian s'Siedhri MD
Award: Unsung Hero Award
Ruth is an amazing writer. She has the ability to take every shocking story turn, even a major part of her character's arc leaving the station, and keep her feet under her. She also is happy to step in and step up whenever the sim needs her, up to and including creating NPCs to fill in a story arc.
Award: Doyle Mystery Award
A mystery of attempted assassination with many contributors who will receive the award:
Dallas Briggs (Mike)
Victoria Briggs (Susan)
Prudence Addams (Chantal)
Paul Graves (Chantal)
Muffet Langston (Jenny)
Chlamydia Addams (Jenny)
Award: Doyle Mystery Award
Given to the people who are making the mystery of the ring so interesting:
Zelda Alegari, and her multiple personalities (Susan)
Damion Ildaron (Chantal)
Paul Graves (Chantal)
Andrew Eberstark (Joe)
Muffet Langston (Jenny)
Adam Keller (Lily)
Isabella Perry (Brandon)
And there may be more! This is evolving with every post, as new views pop up of what has happened and what it means.
Lieutenant JG Artyom Mikhailov
Award: Captain's Honour Award
Rob is another newcomer who has shaken things up nicely. With an unusual family background, he has come aboard with his young son and brought all the worries of parenting with him, plus a few most of us don't have to deal with. I loved the holographic dog he brought into the story for his son, and the child's reaction to having it turned off to take home!
Experiment Number Six Addams
Award: Civilian Contribution Medal
Jenny's child character is remarkably grown up and childlike, at the same time, even for so illustrious a family as the Addamses. I find myself charmed by her, amused by her, and feeling a variety of emotions for her. An excellent job of writing a civilian who increased the personality of the whole sim.
Lieutenant Meghan [Maggie] Jericho
Award: Non-Player Character Ribbon
Lily has long been known for her NPC work, and having them work together and play together. Now she's made a new NPC who is coordinating with a new player, Mike, to make a couple who have interesting and unrelated jobs. The backstory is being established and I look for great things from this duo.
Lieutenant Dallas Briggs
Award: Distinguished Newcomer Award
Mike came on board raring to go and started JPing with lots of energy! He also created NPCs right away, and fluffed out the manifest a little more. He's just created one which will serve as a Klingon ambassador and both he and Mike's main character have added to the base story line in interesting ways.
Thanks so much to all of you for the stories you make come alive!
Susan (Jade Lantz, et al)
for the Command Team
