Located on Deck 595, Pub 10-42 is named for the police 10-code that means 'Ending Tour of Duty.' Once he learned that, owner Carlo Rienzi decided he liked the name, whose meaning he previously hadn't known, and he kept it instead of renaming the place after himself. He simply added 'Pub' to the name so potential customers would realize that it was in fact a bar.

Carlo prefers a spacious, airy feel and ease of clean-up. The floor is tile, and the bar is wooden with stone/brick support columns and good lighting. The walls are of anechoic paneling to reduce noise. Carlo uses lighting in natural colors rather than fluorescent.

Carlo primarily serves genuine alcoholic beverages, but he will serve synthehol on request, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and water. The menu includes all sorts of Italian offerings, ranging from pasta dishes, to Italian wedding soup, to mini-pizzas, pastries, and gelato.

A security station is located on Deck 590, and Carlo, who tends bar, welcomes the security officers and their families and will make sure they get fed when having to deal with whatever crises might arise on-base.

You might hear hard-pounding Celtic rock music, Celtic folk music, classical music, or you might hear opera; whatever the guests are in the mood for. There's dancing and karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays.
