Qaraq's Game Room

Qaraq's Game Room is a little different. The lighting is toned down, with artwork and fancy things, created by Purulence Addams, being projected on the wall. Basically, it's like if a rave and a casino had a baby. The bar is on the far end from the entrance, with the buffet close by. There are other menu items not at the buffet that are available. Most of the buffet cuisine is Terran.

All of the games are lit with their own overhead spotlight, so the games can easily be seen. Slot machines are everywhere. There are three dabo tables, roulette, craps, blackjack, and other things.

There is a second level above the bar and buffet that has non-gambling games like arcade games (free play), some pinball tables (small charge), and free air hockey, pool, billiards, and foosball.

We have a holosuite that is usually unavailable, but is being used as a classroom for children in Brown Sector. It hasn't been mentioned, but Qaraq had a problem keeping the holosuites in his bar on Delavi clean and maintained, so he is not fond of them.

There is a large, open space that is currently disused, but Qaraq has implied he wants to turn it into a mini-theater with live entertainment. Outside, the Zodiac is off to the right, with all it's shops, restaurants and apartments of various sizes and requiring a variety of means.

From the entrance, Qaeaq's is a two-story building, well lit, but softer, dimmer lighting than in the main square outside. A purple lighted sign reads, "Qaraq's Game Room, Bar and Restaurant", and under that, a longer second line read, "Home of the KORFMAGER - Gambling, Video Games, Billards, and MORE!"

Qaraq has put other smaller signs that define who can play. 'No children allowed in casino', 'Children must be accompanied by an adult to visit upper-level arcade', and for everyone, 'Play responsibly.'

The cool breeze from inside the game room, wafts out through the doors which stay open. A membrane keeps too much air from escaping, while still allowing enough to entice customers into the inner rooms. There is elbow room, even when it's busy.

There is a non-obtrusive music track going on in the background, and gamblers and dealers doing their games under individual spotlights. Overhead monitors show various sporting events, and the ceiling and walls are animated with interactive artwork made by Purulence Addams.

Surprisingly, there isn't much in the way of bouncers or security, but with Qaraq's assistant, Criswell Sandbags, being a master of the art of blending in, the hired security would disappear into the woodwork, as well. Having big muscled guys peeking over the shoulders of the gamblers would do more to raise anxiety, and Qaraq wanted as much comfort for his gamblers as possible.

Broot casinos never have a house advantage. It is seen as cowardly.
