Physical Description		Kellian is a healthy, somewhat athletic-looking man of slightly above-average height. While well defined, his musculature is not bulked. He is clean-shaven, and his dark brown hair is cut to regulation length, feathering above eyes colored like dark chocolate. His complexion is fair from living onboard ship. Off-duty, he tends to prefer dark colors but will dress so as not to stand out.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Kellian gives an overall impression of being quietly competent, decisive, and alert to his surroundings always. His quarters and his workstation are kept ruthlessly neat when he has the luxury of living by himself or of working in a private office. If he's in a cubicle or sharing quarters, he leaves a few more things lying around--again, only to blend in, not because that is his preference. Kellian is friendly and warm but is not very open. He has to know a person for a while before he'll trust comfortably. Seeing the bodies of murder victims distresses him far more than he admits. His favorite song is Nothing Else Matters as performed by cellists Emil and Dariel on acoustic cellos.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strengths: * Very self-disciplined. * Efficient and competent at armed and unarmed combat. * Level-headed in emergencies. However, he has PTSD, and explosions bring that out. * Twisted sense of humor. Weaknesses: * Does not trust easily. * Is very rarely relaxed, though he fakes it well. * Losing his father would devastate him. * Hearing or being near explosions agitates him (PTSD).

Hobbies & Interests		* Working out at the gym, swimming. * Singing--He likes Terran rock music and classical. * Reading books--He likes mysteries and fantasy as well as professional journals. * Can play the piano and cello--classically trained. Practices cello for at least an hour every night. Practices in his quarters. * Recently advance to Master Freemason in a Starfleet military lodge onboard the station.

Personal History		Kellian was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Earth. His mother died in a car accident when Kellian was 10. His father took a financier job in a New York City (Manhattan) brokerage firm, and he and Kellian moved there. However, Kellian attended various boarding schools rather than living with his father. Despite this, they are very close. Kellian's father is estranged from the rest of his family. After graduation from high school, Kellian applied to join Starfleet on a music scholarship and went into basic training. Upon completing Basic he served a stint with the Starfleet Concert Orchestra. After his time there ended, he was sent to work with the JAG office at SFHQ to train as an investigations crewman. That gave him exposure to a variety of cases ranging from murders, to domestic violence, to assault cases. He attempted to learn forensic accounting and found that it bored him to near madness, so he quit that. His mentor on the Vigilance offered to recommend Kellian for Officer Candidate School. Kellian balked at this. As a petty officer he had anonymity; as an officer with a goal of rising through the ranks, he would not be able to maintain that. However, he could think of no way to decline the offer without inciting questions that he did not want to answer. So Kellian entered OCS and was eventually glad he did. Officers were given more challenging assignments than enlisted personnel, and those were the kinds of cases that Kellian wanted to work on. Kellian has applied to enter a master's program in forensic science. He has also done considerable study in psychology but does not have enough hours for an MS in it.
