| Personal History | Born in the Hartelhai province, and delivered by a passing Doctor, Khellian s'Sidhri. Due to being born without 100% romulan blood, her 'father' who was a member of the Tal'Shiar and her Mother- a minor noble would have made her life miserable for its short duration. If she could survive infancy- then she would have been groomed for service within the Tal'Shiar. The Mother never admitted who she'd had an affair with, or how she'd managed to find a Betazoid to sleep with. Her 'father' referred to the infant Makila as a disgrace to Romulus, and Khellian smuggled her out in his bag. The first 3 years of her life were spent going from safe house to safe house within Federation space, and when her father passed his boards for his Medical Doctoral Degree in the Federation, things got easier for them both. It helped that Makila neither looked nor acted like the stereotypical Romulan. Her tele-empathic abilities, since her sire was Betazoid, were heightened when she reached puberty and she now is learning to control her increased abilities. Makila has always had a fairly tight bond with her father, and she is very receptive to his moods. He taught her everything he knows about medicine and was training her to be his nurse. She took the MD boards without his knowledge and is now currently a medical resident in the 109's sickbay. Her perfect recall has aided her immensely in her medical studies, but she brings to the floor a unique view of the universe. The father-daughter duo run a clinic in the Tivoli Gardens, and another called the Dawnstar in the Brown Sector. The Dawnstar has been a place of hope and healing for the denizens of that district. |
