Storyline ideas

(Austen) I figured this could be a Limbo for ideas, we can pull and pick as needed or lift whole arcs. we should all toss the ideas out see where we are on the same page and go for it. If it's here it's pending or just barely begun, once its ongoing strongly enough we can drop it off from here, maybe add all this to a wiki?
(Pending TBD) Second Star (Edit, add to, Austen?) - A repurposed Excelsior class is made into a cargo vessel, and there are crew, passengers, load workers, a star-fleet intelligence outfit masquerading as a mercenary unit hired to be the ships protectors. The interaction with 109, is it will give Brown Sector workers new work, bring other Merchant vessels through and become a bigger hub for the Triangle. The end of story crisis is something which calls for as many ships as possible to to do something to stop the crisis occurring everywhere all at once, and starfleet calls on the merchant reserves to step up and help. There is a crossover with the Wells Plot as well. This will also crossover with Anslo the Pirate.
(Pending TBD) USS Wells- The one and same from Voyager, but this story traaavelsssss. The crew of the Wells can come by 109 from time to time to time... In this story arc the Wells is tasked with the usual timeline police stuff, but there soon comes to be known a rift in spacetime mving from the future backwards, a cataclysm in another universe has unleashed a Strange matter bomb and its effects have leaked over into ours. The ultimate solution will wind up on the Wells to execute but it saves everyones days everywhere. Cross overs to Second Star and Ibex.
(Pending TBD) The Ibex- As dark a dark black Ops outfit as it gets. These are Starfleets ghosts, Section 31 is a rogue element, but Starfleet Intelligence has there own people. Several Sleeper ships all over the galaxy operate in silence carrying out directives for the Federation council. Nobody knows of their existence as the origins of the program were deleted and covered tracks to prevent investigation. These ships all carry animal names, with no USS, or NCC, or NX, they are simple names. Captains are trained in Starfleet to recognize that as a command imperative to not interfere with them if they check out. Scans show a small freighter, but that can be changed. the ship is invisible to the eye and sensors, and great lengths are taken to keep secrecy. They only know one contact, who has a contact and so on, where orders are relayed. Endgame for them, "Ebon Hawk" A similar vessel with similar mandate has gone rogue. They have discovered something and in their haste to take action detonate several stars. They have the weapon, and its a star killing railgun. They are on the way to carry out a genocide plot against a race (Chalnoth), and the Ibex is the only one remotely close enough and capable enough to catch them.
(In Progress) Exo-Comps- The Exo Comps we know are children to teenager levels of capability, aside from their mechanical prowess and clear skills as engineers, they aren't truly sophisticated yet. As they increase in number their computational factors increase. When Bikram Auden uses five Exo-Comps, they can effectively run a medical ward as nurses. When Bikram brings his "Field Medicine" emergency program for testing to SB109, these five link up with the four we know and love. When nine of them are together they almost overload, but with help can regulate the insane capability change without harming themselves. That is the rub, the bright candle burns out faster, and time spent in this state causes harm after a point. Collars of a sort help them interact without synching, forcing them to communicate analog and transfer data via physical media. The Exo-Comps will be all over anyone story they damn well please. Try to lock them out.
(In Progress) Field Medicine- Bikram Auden is a Baku boy who will one day be a man, but for now his schooling has him serving his society by joining Starfleet. As a pacifist, and due to Baku culture, Bikrams focus in Engineering centered around Medical innovation and system operation. He will invent several important overlapping technologies in the "Auden protocol." Essentially and EMH preloaded into a holo emitter that can be dropped near battle lines and turn into a MASH immediately. The Exo Comps can defend it as well as heal the sick. Bikram is fascinated with Medical advances and creates a device which simulates the Baku effect at 10% of its power. It is still a healing device of great potential, endgame for this story is the restoration of the Sona to the Baku after finally being able to heal. All Sona return home, and the Baku become a space-faring military power overnight.
(Ongoing) Adding: The Dread Pirate Anslo- The wily bastard won't die, and gets command of a K'vort class Heavy Cruiser and a few smaller raider craft. He is crafting an armada that will operate in the Triangle, with growing power and capability.
(C) Re Anslo--I think Consul Iril will be getting involved in the Anslo plot, at least on a diplomatic level, as he represents Trill's interests on SB-109. He's been getting reports. Maybe they even have a past?
(S) Other ship possibilities: We also have Isabella Perry/Riko McCord/Winter Sisters on undercover assignments in a small ship. Doesn't Sipov have a ship now? And there's the annoying Ferengi who may or may not be a smuggler - Torrog. Ruth has a couple of great new characters coming online, and one is a refugee on some kind of ship, not sure where her story arc will go. There are going to be a lot of ships arriving for the wedding, smaller ones, but still. I like that interaction with ships will give Brandon an opportunity to play Henry more.
(A) Adding from Comments below: * Another ship: USS Nightraven It's a first-contact ship, Nebula-class, and I can imagine it coming to 109 every once in a while because 109 has Shopping! And Dining! And just all-around Cool Stuff to Do.
(A) Pamp and Circumstance- Pampo is a diplomat extraordinaire and man of mystery to boot. Spy missions and diplomacy, James Bond meets West Wing.
************************************************************************************************
(c) Comments:
* I would like to involve the Exo-Comps in the Sludgebusters' on-again, off-again plot, and Damion certainly wouldn't mind meeting them. Paul would like to continue seeing them after their arrival, as well.
* Ibex - Damion is quite interested in this. And he can hear Elizabeth in his ear, saying, "Don't you dare!" Part of him completely agrees with her.
* Second Star - Damion also likes this vessel. He's been needing a way to get to and from Oblivion. I've spoken to Brandon about having the Nomad take him to Oblivion, but Brandon's been busy moving, and I'm not sure when he'll be able to write consistently. Maybe Second Star visits there more frequently, and he could get a ride with them? A plus is that Second Star is much larger than Nomad and could transport all of the Starfleet CIS team who need to go there. Just a possibility; I'm mulling ideas around in my head. I perhaps ought to get together with Jenny and see if we can plot out this mission to take down Dobbs.
* Another ship: USS Nightraven It's a first-contact ship, Nebula-class, and I can imagine it coming to 109 every once in a while because 109 has Shopping! And Dining! And just all-around Cool Stuff to Do.
*Some kind of diplomatic meetings? We let the BESM delegation drop completely, but can maybe do something about that.
**Rising tensions in the triangle of some kind would breed ongoing diplomatic efforts, which could involve Nightraven as a diplomatic vessel.
(C) Having Nightraven ferry diplomats is eminently doable.
*Purulence's wedding - We need someone who is empowered to perform rites of marriage, and Purulence, being an Addams, doesn't fit in well with the typical Judeo-Christian church mold. I am considering Aradia or Captain Navarra, though Purulence was planning to ask Commodore Suzuki. She doesn't know Navarra even remotely, so she would feel more comfortable with Aradia, if Aradia does such things.
*With our recent real life experiences, maybe we see how Starfleet handles a pandemic on SB109?
**Second this. Quarantine would make 109 go through a mini Hell. I could imagine a lockdown spreading
slowly to different sections forcing them into extreme measures to isolate. Bikram (new character)
and his MED-Comps would be a good asset. (Austen)
(C): Heh...I'm not enthused about a pandemic, having just lived through one, been there, done that, sweated a gallon into the t-shirt. But I am game for it. :)
*In reply to initial question, We can keep 109 the center of the universe for sure. Second Star is a vehicle for this sim at this time and will serve the purposes we need it to without taking much. The Anslo/Pirate is a Triangle threat, the Ibex and intel ships would certainly use 109 as a hub so we can focus on those times when they are at or involved with 109. But I agree 100% this is the SB109 show. (Austen)
* The Exo-Comps will be all over anyone's story they damn well please. Try to lock them out. - Not without the player(s)' permission....
**(Austen) this was a joke, I'm so sorry for the confusion, I was not conscious of the way it sounded when I typed it. It was not intended to mean they will be intruding, simply to imply they can be an omnipresence throughout the Starbase and open for other people to reference in their scenes if they choose.
(Chantal) I knew it was a joke; just wanted to make sure. We wouldn't have asked you to join command staff if we thought at all that you would play god with your characters; we know you won't. All is good.

Adding- Aquatic Deck storylines:
Olumorron- A Xindi Aquatic who is well versed in sciences, performing experiments and such. SB109 has capacity to support his lab with a gas giant in system for testing a method to ignite gas giants into proto stars for habitable moons. The creatures which live there become known, and other
Fluidic Space- Olumorron has cracked the method the Borg used to enter 8472's domain.
Kwhopa restoration- World from "Rescue" A water world has been contaminated, restoration efforts are ongoing.
Strange Changes: Lots of crew transferring out, and lots of crew transferring in.
*Cut and Run: More spy stuff (Oblivion) I will be transferring Damion formally back to the Intelligence department, as the reason I transferred him to SCIS (to have someone to play off of--Jenny--is no longer with the sim. I'll wrap up the Oblivion plot ASAP. They'll find Dobbs' body and conclude that he, at the very least, no longer poses a threat. But they will now have to figure out who got to him first. That's not SCIS' purview--I don't think. I could be way wrong on that. I'd think it would have the smell of black, black ops to them, which I think is a bit out of their league. Not sure without Jenny here to ask.
