Greetings Starbase 109 Players,

Here is an update on my status for those interested...

The nerve pain in my shoulder is mostly better, but there's still occasional pain. I have an appointment this week with the pain specialist who gave me my shots a few weeks ago. I feel like I'm in a good space mentally and emotionally. This last week was a very good one.

What I'd like to do coming back is work on the temporal war storyline surrounding Gary Thirteen and Sundae, which has been in the works since before I took command. I also want to focus on the Doubleday/IBEX plot. I think a large part of my anxiety has been way too many irons in the fire, so to speak. I need to scale back and refocus on what I want to do here as a writer, while working on ways I can be available to you without getting overwhelmed. I know I push myself a bit too hard here. I need to scale back on my personal demands on being captain.

At the moment, I see there's a lot going on, which is absolutely fantastic. I've enjoyed it. I don't want the temporal war to interfere with anything already in motion. I know we can find creative ways to work around it.

I don't plan on being on leave much longer, and I want to start wading back in as soon as I can. This is my first step. I miss this place and my characters, and naturally all of you. I'm sorry if I've made a mess of anything. I just needed to stop and focus on me for a while. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for understanding and letting me do that. I admire and respect all of you. This sim has always been a unique and very exciting place to be!
