Jedediah Tully Novels

The Jedediah Tully and the Spacefleet Marines series of books by human author Kendall Edison chronicles the career and misadventures of Jedediah Tully, who starts as a young officer in the Spacefleet Marines who generally lands himself in trouble in Chapter One and proceeds through sometimes as many as fifty chapters before he gets himself out of said trouble. The books are notable for extensive intricate, action-packed plots reminiscent of Lois McMaster Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan works. Tully portrays himself as a back-country hick, especially to his adversaries, but he has a cunning intelligence that always sees him through. The series is comprised of over 100 separate adventures written by Edison. As the books are now in the public domain, more authors have contributed to the saga, and it is many readers' ambition to collect them all, from all of the different authors, and to endlessly debate which are the best stories. Entire fan conventions have been held, dedicated to these books.
