"Dobbs to Bounty"

He sat at the desk in his quarters and tapped the console to check that the comm. channel was both stable and encrypted - it was.

"Bounty here" Quickly came the response, voice only.

"I may need a fast exfiltration from Vanguard"

"Have there been complications?" The monotone voice responded.

"You could say that... Section forty-nine alpha has been discovered. They've managed to download some of the computer files before it could all be erased." He paused and reflected, "some of the systems must have been damaged during the explosion."

"How much do they know?"

"Unknown... the files are still encrypted, so that should delay them for some time. If I can't destroy the files, then I'll try to destroy what's left of the lab... there's too much in there for them to find."

"Understood. We're maintaining position at ten thousand kilometres. We'll attempt to remotely gain access to the files an delete them. Bounty out."

Dobbs smiled... a cloaked ship that close to a Starbase and they hadn't been detected... perfect.
